Printmaker Mairanne Heemskerk will conduct a series of workshops, concentrating on techniques of drypoint and carborundum on aluminium plates. Participants will be working from their own designs and experimenting with the processes and colours. No previous experience required. These are full day workshops. Saturdays 16th, 23rd & 30th January Times: 10.30am-3.30pm (with a break for lunch) Ticket price: €60 / €55 (concession rate). Price includes materials. Pre-booking for all workshops is essential.

The workshop will take as it’s starting point ‘The Shape of Things’, Susan Tiger’s exhibition in the gallery throughout March, and artist Noel Hanley will lead the participating children through a variety of approaches to drawing.Times: 10.30am-12.30pm: 5-7 year olds; 1.30-3.30pm: 8-10 year olds. An Introduction to Songwriting, with Dennis McCalmont Singer-songwriter Dennis McCalmont will lead this exciting workshop series exploring the basics of songwriting. Over the course of the three weeks, Dennis will work with beginners and the more advanced participants on elements of the craft and how they can improve and develop as songwriters. Dennis McCalmont has been writing, recording and performing for over ten years. He has performed all over Ireland and the UK, and released a number of recordings including the Songs of Perfection EP which received great reviews and considerable airplay.
