Monday 11th & Tuesday 12th July, 8pm
As part of the Ballina Salmon Festival, the Heroes for Hospice group makes an eagerly anticipated return to Ballina Arts Centre with its production of Superstar, on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th July, at 8pm each night.
This incredibly talented group needs no introduction, having staged sensational sell-out fundraising musical shows like Beyond the Barricade and Oliver with a Twist at local, national, and international level in recent years.
In the process the ‘Heroes’, led by Lavinia Gilmartin, have raised over €60,000 for Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.
Their latest production, Superstar offers a contemporary and very edgy take on the last days of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of his betrayer, Judas Iscariot.
Set to an epic, rock-themed soundtrack, Superstar delivers an emotionally charged exploration of the dynamics at play both politically and personally as Jesus prepares to meet his fate.
Expect drama, colour, energy, excitement, and passion in what promises to be yet another exhilarating production in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.
Tickets: €15. Early booking advised.
