Flat Out are a young, energetic local band from Ballina. Formed in 2013 and winners of the 2014 National competition ‘Le Crunch Apple of my Eye’ in association with Today FM, the group comprises of Bríd O’Donnell, Ciara O’Donnell, Mark O’Donnell and Harry Lawlor. Coming from a traditional Irish music background, all members perform lead and backing vocals depending on the song and between them play guitar, fiddle, accordion, harp, bodhrán, flute and tin whistle.
2016 has been another busy year for the ban, and has seen them perform to audiences across Ireland, Scotland, Saint Patrick’s Day in Malawi, Africa and a summer residency in Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. They have also had success promoting their ‘Half Empty Half Fully’ EP to radio stations around the world.
The concert on Friday 9th December in Ballina Arts Centre will showcase Flat Out’s original music, popular cover songs and some Christmas classics. There will also be guest performers on the night. All ages welcome for what is sure to be a great night of entertainment to help get you into the Christmas spirit!
