Creative Writing workshop with local authors Morag Prunty & Helen Falconer.
This two-hour creative writing workshop will focus on memory and how it can be used effectively in creative fiction.
Morag Prunty was born in Scotland to Irish parents. She moved to Ireland in 1990 to re-launch Irish Tatler. Her novels are Wild Cats & Colleens/Dancing with Mules (2001); Disco Daddy (2002); Poison Arrows (2003); Superstar Lovers (2004). She also publishes under the name Kate Kerrigan. As Kate Kerrigan she has published Recipes for a Perfect Marriage (2006); The Miracle of Grace (2007); and Ellis Island (2009). She lives in Mayo. Novelist Helen Falconer was born and brought up in London. She works as a book reviewer for the Guardian newspaper. Her first novel, Primrose Hill, the story of a group of North London teenagers, was published in 1999. Her second, Sky High: A Novel (2003), depicts love, sex and violence in a forbidden relationship set against an urban landscape. Helen Falconer lives in Mayo.
