The Walls play Dylan!!
Friday 3rd July, 8pm
Previously the main-men in one of the most successful Irish bands ever - The Stunning – Steve and Joe Wall know all about going from multi-platinum success to re-inventing themselves and starting all over again.
Famous for such classic anthems as Brewing Up A Storm, Half Past Two and Everything that Rises, the brothers re-invented themselves as The Walls. The Walls played their first gig in Dublin in 1998 having returned a few months earlier from a two-year label stint in London. The band included new members Carl Harms and Rory Doyle.
Their debut album Hi-Lo was released in May 2000 to brilliant reviews and healthy sales. Songs like To the Bright and Shining Sun and Bone Deep showed that they had not lost the knack for a catchy tune.
They followed it up with New Dawn Breaking and have since supported the likes of U2, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bob Dylan. Currently working on their third album, The Walls come to Ballina as part of Sound + Vision 2009: Dylan on Screen.
They will be performing a number of Bob Dylan covers as well as some of their own classics from the back catalogues of the Walls and the Stunning.
A very special night – not be missed.
